Located in Allapattah, Superblue Miami is situated on the traditional homeland of Native nations, including the Tequesta, the Calusa, the Taíno and the present-day Miccosukee and Seminole. “Allapattah” means “alligator” in the Miccosukee and Seminole languages, and the neighborhood is home to a vibrant community.

We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and future. We recognize their continued existence and contributions to our community, and encourage our visitors to commit to the environmental priorities of the Indigenous peoples of the region.

We also honor, respect, and uplift the generations of African diasporic and migrant people who have built Miami and continue to make this community what it is today. How can we share the joys of our gardens with one another?
